A big win for Android interoperability

The European Commission mandated Alphabet to open eleven Android features, including always-on wake word detection, to all assistants equally, following feedback from the Open Home Foundation and others. This decision under the Digital Markets Act aims to enhance interoperability and competition on Android devices.
