A writer is suing Grammarly for turning her and other authors into ‘AI editors’ without consent

Grammarly launched an "Expert Review" AI feature impersonating notable writers without their consent, prompting journalist Julia Angwin to file a class action lawsuit against the company for violating privacy and publicity rights. The feature, which provided generic feedback, has since been disabled by Grammarly's parent company, Superhuman, following public backlash.
