AI chatbot helps teach online-only psychology classes at Macquarie University

Macquarie University replaced in-person psychology classes with an AI chatbot called Virtual Peer for two subjects, supplementing online materials and optional tutorials. The AI guides students through exercises but does not replace human tutors, with in-person classes set to return in 2027.
