Anthropic automatically signs out Claude users to protect them from hackers

Anthropic has been forcibly signing out users and refunding charges after attackers exploited infostealer malware on users' PCs to hijack active Claude sessions and misuse accounts. The malware, affecting both Windows and macOS, steals session cookies allowing unauthorized access, but Anthropic's actions do not remove the malware itself.
