DeepMind has developed a new sign-language-to-text model integrated into Google's Pixel 11 devices, enabling American Sign Language users to transcribe signs into English text via Gboard and Live Transcribe. The model uses on-device processing to protect privacy and plans to expand language support and device compatibility in the future.
