India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has sent notices to Telegram and Signal over their username features, following a similar notice to WhatsApp. The ministry is concerned these features may facilitate impersonation and complicate fraud tracing, seeking explanations on how the apps mitigate such risks.
