Meta introduced Content Seal, an invisible watermarking system for AI-generated images, similar to Google's SynthID, but it lacks integration and adoption compared to existing solutions. Despite being part of industry coalitions, Meta chose to build its own system, which currently requires a separate detection tool and is less accessible than Google's implementation.
