Microsoft Signs Binding AI Safety and Privacy Standard for US Schools

Microsoft, alongside education union leaders, established the National AI Safety & Privacy Standard allowing US school districts to enforce AI privacy and safety protections in contracts with Microsoft. The agreement includes ten binding principles, notably banning use of student data for AI training, aiming to fill regulatory gaps in AI use in schools.
