OpenJDK Interim Policy on Generative AI

Oracle, sponsoring the OpenJDK Community, has set an interim policy banning contributions generated by AI models like large language or diffusion models to OpenJDK repositories and communications. Contributors may use AI privately for understanding and research but cannot submit AI-generated content until a full policy is established. This aims to mitigate risks related to reviewer burden, security, and intellectual property in the evolving generative AI landscape.
