PwC left red-faced after being caught using AI hallucinations and fake citations in multiple reports

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) published at least four AI-generated reports between 2024 and 2026 containing fabricated citations, false claims, and AI hallucinations, as revealed by GPTZero's investigation. These reports, issued by PwC Middle East, aimed to establish thought leadership on AI but included numerous inaccuracies and fake references. PwC has acknowledged the findings but has not detailed any corrective actions.
