Spotify expands AI remix and covers project with Merlin partnership

Spotify announced a new AI-powered product enabling fans to create covers and remixes with artists' consent, expanding its partnership with Merlin to include over 30,000 independent labels. The tool aims to legally compensate artists and differentiate from fully AI-generated music, with a preview to be released to select users.
