AMD commits up to $5 billion to Anthropic

AMD announced a plan to invest up to $5 billion in AI company Anthropic and will provide significant computing resources including up to 2 gigawatts of Instinct MI450 GPUs via its Helios system. The first gigawatt deployment is scheduled for early 2027, complementing Anthropic's existing infrastructure partnerships. Additionally, AMD and Anthropic will collaborate on engineering projects, with AMD integrating Anthropic's Claude AI into its development processes.
