Eolian Breaks Ground on 1 GWh Battery Near Ohio Data Centers

Eolian began building Flint Grid, a 200 MW battery storage facility in Ohio with 1.06 GWh capacity, to support local data centers and grid reliability. The battery is set to operate before June 2027 and is the largest new capacity cleared in PJM's 2027/2028 auction. The project aims to alleviate grid constraints by enhancing existing substation capacity amid rising electricity demand from data centers.
