HuggingSocial is a decentralized, peer-to-peer network for discovering, discussing, and downloading AI models without centralized control. It uses cryptographic hubs and BitTorrent to keep models accessible and prevent censorship or takedowns. This system emerged after Nvidia's acquisition of Huggingface raised concerns about centralized control over AI models.
