Panic builds over bankrupt Spirit’s looming data sale to Google

Google won an auction to buy extensive operational data from bankrupt Spirit Airlines, but Springshot, a startup that provided key technology to Spirit, claims the sale improperly includes its proprietary data and intellectual property. Springshot has filed a court objection urging a pause on the sale until ownership of the data is clearly established to prevent unauthorized transfer of trade secrets.
