OpenAI has updated its GPT-Rosalind model to integrate GPT-5.5's advanced coding and tool-use abilities with enhanced expertise in drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, and genomics. The model shows improved performance on complex life sciences tasks and is now available in research preview for select organizations. OpenAI also introduced LifeSciBench, a comprehensive benchmark to evaluate life sciences research capabilities across multiple workflow areas.
