South Korea’s FuriosaAI brings its Nvidia-challenger chips to Europe
The Next Web
Read full postSouth Korean startup FuriosaAI has launched its RNGD AI accelerators in Europe, deploying servers at Equinix's Lisbon datacentre to offer a power-efficient alternative to Nvidia's GPUs. The RNGD chips prioritize energy efficiency with a 180-watt thermal profile and are designed for dense, air-cooled inference workloads. FuriosaAI aims to support Europe's push for local AI infrastructure and reduce reliance on American chipmakers, while developing next-gen accelerators for large-scale AI models.
