Taiwanese prosecutors detained an Nvidia employee in connection with an investigation into smuggled AI servers allegedly routed to China. The probe, initially focused on Super Micro and distributors, uncovered a scheme involving forged documents to bypass export controls. About 50 Nvidia-based servers worth $21 million were seized, with shipments passing through third countries before reaching China.
