Tata Consultancy Services' HyperVault unit and partners are investing $7.4 billion to build a one-gigawatt AI data center campus in Hyderabad, India, designed with green energy and water-neutral principles. The site will support high-density, liquid-cooled compute infrastructure for global AI companies and hyperscalers. This investment contrasts with Europe's regulatory approach, which mandates annual reporting of water and energy use for data centers above 500kW.
