Trump’s latest AI czar has already resigned

Chris Fall resigned as director of the Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI) just three months after his appointment, following a series of rapid leadership changes at the agency responsible for AI technical standards. CAISI operates under NIST and focuses on AI model standards and cybersecurity risk assessment but was not involved in recent AI export control controversies or the new White House AI safety program.
