Uber has integrated Baidu's Apollo Go driverless robotaxis into its Dubai app, allowing rides without safety drivers in select coastal districts. This service launched shortly after Uber's autonomous rides with safety drivers began in Zagreb, highlighting different regulatory approaches. Apollo Go uses Baidu's sixth-generation RT6 electric vehicles equipped with extensive sensors for fully driverless operation.
