Generalist AI Releases GEN-1.5: A Robot Foundation Model That Learns New Tasks From One 3–12 Second Demo

Generalist AI has introduced GEN-1.5, a robot foundation model capable of learning new physical tasks from a single 3–12 second demonstration without fine-tuning. The model achieved 59% average success on 10 manipulation tasks using one-shot prompting, improving to 83% with minimal additional training. This capability emerged naturally from extensive pretraining on physical interaction data, marking a significant step in robot learning.
